We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee residential construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to drive project success while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and construction best practices. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and site supervision will be instrumental in delivering exceptional results across diverse construction environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations on construction sites, supervising all activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Keep projects on track based on project schedules
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to align work schedules, resource allocation, and project deliverables.
- Oversee site safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
- Manage change orders effectively; review scopes of work and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- implement cost control measures as needed.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify workmanship meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Oversee procurement processes for materials and equipment; coordinate delivery schedules to prevent delays.
- Supervise on-site personnel including subcontractors and labor crews; provide mentorship and resolve conflicts promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, incident logs, inspection records, and progress updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in residential projects.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with contracts management including review and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations coupled with practical application on job sites.
