Account Manager

Job Description

An Account Manager leads the development, execution, and evaluation of marketing initiatives for clients in response to their requirements, budgets, and objectives. This person will work closely with the client, along with the internal teams, to develop and implement lead-generating tactics. They must be an organized multi-tasker with strong presentation and communication skills.

The Account Manager will be involved with both digital and print media campaigns, coordinating strategy, and ensuring client goals are met. This person should understand media metrics and will be expected to work with the media team on media strategies and budgets for clients.

Account Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned accounts including collateral needs, promotional products, traditional and digital media, company store, budget management, reporting and analysis, etc.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships at a corporate and local level as needed.
  • Interpret client needs and communicate to all agency teams including but not limited to creative, digital, and traditional media, billing, and reporting.
  • Take a full mixed service agency scope of work - including digital and traditional media, SEO, content strategy, website development, lead nurturing, print and promo - and manage it to completion.
  • Build comprehensive marketing plans with SMEs and speak to client and agency stakeholders with confidence.
  • Deploy marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.
  • Manage day-to-day projects to ensure they are completed within deadlines and to budget.
  • Act as client brand manager with a keen eye for detail to approve marketing materials, including digital and printed materials.
  • Measure and analyze campaign performance data & insights, and drive conversation both internally and with clients about next steps for media planning.
  • Enter and traffic projects using the project management system (Workfront) providing accurate details and managing workflows to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Approve and send creative proofs to clients through Workfront.
  • Work with assigned production coordinators to ensure projects are being completed and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Understand the planning and development needed for segment-specific campaigns to nurture leads through the growth marketing funnel.
  • Website build management; maintains project scope, controls project by anticipating and documenting risks in meeting deadlines.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media Studies or Communications.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in advertising/marketing and client relationships.
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising, with an understanding of both digital marketing and print media. Experience in the senior living industry is a plus.
  • A keen eye and a brand manager’s attention to detail.
  • Concise, accurate and deadline driven.
  • Ability to pivot quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to broaden skills to include creative/project management.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong written communication and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have polished communication and presentation skills and be comfortable in a client-facing role.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to multitask and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Patient and excellent at managing stress and pressure.
  • Expert at tracking and disseminating information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
