About the role:
We are looking to hire a Drafter who will play a vital role in bringing our aluminum canopy projects to life. As a Drafter at Canopy Solutions, you will be an essential part of the design and planning process, ensuring that our canopy and sunshade shop drawings are meticulously drafted and executed to the highest quality standards.
Your Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to create detailed and accurate project plans for aluminum canopy commercial construction projects.
· Interpret and transform commercial plans, blueprints, and client drawings into precise and comprehensive shop drawings to construct canopy systems.
· Review sealed shop drawings and markups from clients, ensuring that all necessary construction details are accurately conveyed to our procurement and installation teams.
· Maintain meticulous project documentation in systems such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft platforms (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
What You'll Bring:
· Associate degree, technical certification, or hands-on experience in drafting, architectural technology, or related work such as steel fabrication drawing and detailing.
· Proven experience in drafting, preferably in aluminum canopy construction or a related field.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other relevant drafting software.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans; familiarity with civil plans is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise technical drawings in alignment with company and industry standards.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders.
· Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate project documentation.
· Understanding of construction methods and materials.
· Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
