Role Description The Senior Loan Officer will work on-site full time in Mount Pleasant, SC, originating residential mortgage loans and guiding borrowers from initial inquiry through closing. Daily responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their financial goals, gathering and analyzing documentation, and recommending suitable loan products. The role involves collaborating closely with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely and accurate loan approvals. The Senior Loan Officer will also manage a pipeline of loans, maintain detailed records in the loan origination system, and provide clear, proactive communication to clients and partners. In addition, this role will develop and nurture referral relationships, adhere to all regulatory and company compliance standards, and contribute to a positive, results-oriented team culture.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in loan origination and working as a Loan Officer, with a strong track record of successfully closed mortgage loans.
- Solid finance knowledge, including income analysis, credit evaluation, and understanding of mortgage products and pricing.
- Practical familiarity with underwriting guidelines and documentation requirements across conventional and government loan programs.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and support clients throughout the loan process.
- Active NMLS license in good standing and eligibility to originate loans in South Carolina.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with clients and referral partners.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and Equal Housing Opportunity standards.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
