Marketing and Social Media Specialist
Position Summary
The Part-Time Marketing and Social Media Specialist is responsible for maintaining Canopy IT’s social media presence, website, and customer nurturing solutions. This position is responsible for increasing brand awareness, driving engagement, and presenting Canopy IT as a leader in the managed IT services industry by promoting accomplishments and solutions. This is a part-time, hybrid position (15–25 hours per week) with flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content creation
· Write compelling, and nuture-based content for social posts and blogs
· Capture and create visual content (graphics, short-form video, etc)
· Maintain a library of photos to support success stories
· Monitor trends and adapt content to align with customer interests and needs
· Engage with current customers to develop case studies and success stories
2. Social media and website management
· Maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels
· Create and post monthly updates that provide helpful information to existing and potential customers
· Maintain an active list of customer and potential contacts using Zapier, make n8n or other platform
· Manage content across all platforms (Linked in, Website, email).
· Monitor and respond to social media interactions to build an engaging and nurturing social media community
· Use Google Analytics to monitor engagement
3. Create marketing materials
· Create brochures and flysheets that illustrate our experience and how we help our customers
· Design and purchase marketing handouts for conferences
· Occasional local travel to produce content
Qualifications
· 3 years of experience in marketing
· Bachelors Degree
· Wordpress proficiency
· Understanding of Information Technology
· Photography and videography experience
· Graphic design experience
· Creative, and able to turn moments into marketing
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Work Schedule & Location
· Part-time: Approximately 15–25 hours per week
· Flexible hours: Schedule can be arranged to fit mutual needs (e.g., specific days, a blend of mornings/afternoons, etc.)
· Hybrid: Combination of in-office and remote work, with certain tasks requiring on-site presence

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
