Data And Analytics Manager - Position Overview

The Data & Analytics Manager provides leadership for the organization's enterprise data, reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and data governance functions. This role is responsible for developing and executing the organization's data strategy, establishing governance and quality standards, overseeing analytics and reporting services, and leading the implementation and advancement of the organization's enterprise data platform.

The Data & Analytics Manager leads a team of data professionals responsible for data architecture, engineering, analytics, reporting, and stewardship. This role partners with executive leadership, operational teams, program leaders, and technology stakeholders to establish enterprise data as a strategic organizational asset that drives operational excellence, innovation, and informed decision making.

The Data & Analytics Manager plays a foundational leadership role in the selection, implementation, and growth of the organization's enterprise data and analytics capabilities while serving as a key advisor on data strategy, reporting, governance, analytics, and artificial intelligence enablement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, project-management, vendor-management, or analytics-management experience preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years supporting, designing, implementing, administering, or managing enterprise reporting, analytics, business intelligence, data governance, data architecture, data integration, or related data management initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational and analytical database technologies, data modeling, data integration, reporting and business intelligence platforms, cloud-based data architectures, enterprise data management principles, privacy requirements, information security controls, and data governance practices required.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating, designing, implementing, governing, or supporting enterprise data platform architectures required.
• Experience with one or more data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse, cloud analytics, or hybrid data platform solutions preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, data quality management, master data management, data stewardship, privacy principles, information security practices, data lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance requirements required.
• Experience supporting healthcare, behavioral health, human-services, nonprofit, or similarly regulated environments preferred.
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates effective time management through prioritization, follow-through, and adherence to project, reporting, support, and implementation timelines.
• Lead the organization's enterprise reporting, analytics, business intelligence, data governance, and data management functions.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year data and analytics roadmap aligned with organizational strategy, operational objectives, and business priorities.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's enterprise data platform architecture, ensuring the selected solution aligns with organizational requirements, strategic objectives, governance standards, scalability needs, and analytical capabilities.
• Provide leadership and oversight for data architecture, data engineering, analytics, reporting, data governance, and stewardship activities.
• Establish and maintain organizational standards, policies, processes, and accountability structures related to data governance, stewardship, data quality, metadata management, privacy, security, and data lifecycle management.
• Partner with organizational leaders to identify, standardize, automate, and enhance key performance indicators, performance measures, and reporting frameworks that improve visibility into operational effectiveness, strategic objectives, and organizational outcomes.
• Establish and maintain performance measures that evaluate the effectiveness, reliability, adoption, value, and organizational impact of the Data & Analytics function, enterprise data platform, reporting services, and analytics capabilities.
• Manage the prioritization, intake, development, testing, deployment, and support of organizational reporting, analytics, and data-related requests.
• Ensure compliance with organizational, contractual, regulatory, privacy, security, and data-retention requirements.
• Develop and oversee dashboards, scorecards, reporting frameworks, self-service analytics capabilities, and decision-support solutions that improve visibility into organizational performance and outcomes.
• Oversee vendor relationships, consulting engagements, software platforms, and service providers supporting data, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Lead data modernization initiatives that improve data accessibility, integration, governance, analytics capabilities, operational reporting, and organizational insight.
• Evaluate and promote the responsible adoption of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive modeling, and emerging data technologies that leverage enterprise data assets to enhance decision support, operational effectiveness, and organizational outcomes.
• Recruit, supervise, coach, mentor, and develop employees within the Data & Analytics function.
• Prepare budgets, project plans, resource forecasts, performance measures, and strategic recommendations related to data and analytics services.
• Establish team goals, performance expectations, workload priorities, and professional development plans for employees within the Data & Analytics function.
• Build and maintain a high-performing Data & Analytics team by fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
