Key ResponsibilitiesClaims ManagementManage a caseload of NJ and PA workers' compensation claims, from initial filing to closure.Conduct thorough investigations including statements, employer interviews, and review of medical documentation.Evaluate compensability, wage calculations, medical necessity, and reserve adequacy.Coordinate with medical providers, vocational specialists, and case managers to ensure appropriate care.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure full compliance with NJ Workers' Compensation Act and PA Workers' Compensation Act, including required forms, deadlines, and benefit structures.Issue timely notices, denials, approvals, and wage statements per state requirements.Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to internal audit standards.Medical & Legal CoordinationReview medical records to determine treatment appropriateness, RTW ability, and impairment levels.Communicate with defense counsel and attend hearings, mediations, or depositions as needed.Prepare case summaries, litigation strategies, and settlement evaluations.Return-to-Work & CommunicationCollaborate with employers to facilitate light duty or full-duty return-to-work plans.Provide consistent updates to employers, brokers, claimants, and internal teams.Maintain clear, professional communication throughout the claims process.Settlement & Financial ManagementEvaluate claim exposure and negotiate fair settlements within authority.Set, monitor, and adjust reserves based on claim progression.Identify potential subrogation or fraud issues and pursue recovery when applicable.Canon Recruiting is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
