Our client is in search of an innovative and forward-thinking Packaging Manager to join their team. The Packaging Manager is crucial to overseeing all post-harvest processing and packaging operations. This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient production of high-quality cannabis products. The Packaging Manager will lead packaging operations, manage and coach packaging teams, maintain regulatory compliance, and consistently meet production goals with a strategic and progressive mindset.
This is an in-office opportunity offering four ten-hour workdays on Monday-Thursday. Enjoy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and coach packaging Leads and team members toward operational excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and state cannabis regulations.
- Strategically manage production schedules, labor allocation, and KPI tracking to optimize output.
- Oversee accurate production tracking and inventory reporting within seed-to-sale systems.
- Supervise and innovate packaging processes, including flower and pre-roll packaging with precise labeling.
- Conduct regular team check-ins, operational audits, and training compliance monitoring to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with leadership, providing timely communications and seamless shift transitions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- 5 years of hands-on cannabis industry processing/packaging experience required.
- 3 years of proven supervisory or management experience.
- Proficient with office software, data tracking tools, and seed-to-sale software systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills aligned with innovation.
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary plus benefits and 401K
