Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting visitors and assisting with product selections.
• Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and clear communication.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts.
• Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
• Conduct merchandising activities to create attractive product displays that enhance sales opportunities.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels, recording sales data, and participating in stock audits.
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or providing information remotely.
• Support upselling efforts by recommending complementary products to maximize sales.
• Demonstrate knowledge of retail store products, including cannabis strains, accessories, and related merchandise.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores such as cannabis dispensaries.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage customers effectively.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs.
• Experience supervising or leading teams is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for creating positive interactions.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers.
• Knowledge of retail store merchandising principles and product knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or organizing displays.
