Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs, providing detailed product demos when appropriate
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all store products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, to answer questions confidently
- Operate POS systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to maximize customer satisfaction and store sales
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure an appealing and well-maintained retail environment
- Conduct product demos and educate customers on proper usage, effects, and safety guidelines
- Manage retail store operations such as merchandising, inventory stocking, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service via phone etiquette and in person
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of retail math for transactions, stock management, and cash handling procedures
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor during busy periods
