Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and determine their needs through engaging conversations and active listening.
• Educate customers on product features, effects, dosing, and proper usage to ensure safe and satisfying experiences.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management.
• Conduct product demos and suggest complementary items to maximize sales opportunities through upselling techniques.
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked, organized, and clearly labeled according to company standards.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and reporting low inventory levels.
• Uphold professional phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or scheduling appointments.
• Support the team with basic retail math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and daily reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales, age verification, and record keeping.
• Foster a positive shopping experience by demonstrating excellent communication skills and maintaining a friendly attitude at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or specialty retail environments.
• Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead by example and support team members effectively.
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs better.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on clear phone etiquette and customer engagement.
• Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math fundamentals.
• Experience conducting product demos or upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout shifts.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management are essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
