Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Associate, based in Miami, FL, with some flexibility to work from home. The Associate will be responsible for handling a range of immigration legal matters, including meeting with clients, preparing and filing immigration petitions, conducting legal research, and representing clients before government agencies. The role also involves staying informed about changes in immigration policies and providing clear guidance and support to clients throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and experience handling employment, family, or humanitarian immigration cases, as well as removal defense.
- Proficiency in legal writing, research, and case preparation to draft and review complex legal documents and filings.
- Oral communication skills for client consultations, negotiations, and representing clients before government agencies or in court.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and meet critical deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (Florida Bar admission is a plus).
- Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages is a strong advantage.
- Experience with case management software is beneficial.
