Position Summary
The Dietary Aide supports the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, service, and sanitation to ensure residents receive safe, appealing meals that meet their nutritional needs.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation and plating of meals and snacks according to menus and resident diet orders.
Serve meals to residents in the dining room or on trays, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Perform dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen, serving areas, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards.
Assist with stocking, rotating, and organizing food and supplies.
Follow food safety, infection control, and safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
ServSafe or related food safety certification preferred.
One year of long-term care/skilled nursing dietary experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift food and supplies as needed.
