Job Summary:
A Forklift Operator receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse. This role requires advanced proficiency in the operation of industrial lift trucks, specifically focusing on forklift and order picker equipment to manage high-density storage and inventory movement.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve heavy pallets and materials.
- Utilizes order pickers to ascend to elevated rack locations to gather specific items for customer orders.
- Manages bulky or fragile loads using carton clamps and other forklift attachments to ensure product integrity during transport.
- Assists in loading and unloading trailers using forklifts, ensuring merchandise matches purchase orders and sales orders.
- Places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, or product code, ensuring heavy items are positioned safely for warehouse stability.
- Records amounts of materials received or distributed via computer programs and assists in physical inventory counts.
- Performs daily pre-operation safety inspections on forklifts and specialized machinery; reports any mechanical issues to management.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment by ensuring aisles are free of debris to prevent trip and slip hazards for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Abilities:
- Proficiency in operating order pickers, carton clamps, and other heavy warehouse machinery.
- Skilled in the use of warehouse scanners and inventory management software.
- Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, customers, and vendors in both written and oral formats.
- Strict adherence to safety work rules, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a debris-free work area.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and complete work hours consistently.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment, specifically with heavy machinery and order fulfillment, is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to move constantly throughout the warehouse to load, unload, and stock materials.
- Must be able to frequently position self to gather products from ground level or overhead shelves.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders to acquire products.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Pre-Employment Screening:

Salary : $17 - $19
