Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a spotless environment.
- Perform detailed cleaning of bathrooms, including disinfecting fixtures, sinks, tubs, and toilets to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle laundry services efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, and elevators through sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and pressure washing.
- Use proper chemical handling procedures when using cleaning agents and disinfectants to ensure safety for yourself and others.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist with custodial tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or furniture and manual handling of equipment to support daily operations.
- Follow all sanitation guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly to prevent contamination or injury.
- Support overall facility cleanliness by performing janitorial duties like trash removal and floor care across various areas.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to health standards related to infection control and chemical safety.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial or hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, sanitation practices, and pressure washing.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, pressure washers, and laundry machines.
- Ability to handle chemicals safely by following proper procedures for chemical handling and PPE use.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience with infection control protocols ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
