Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of all housekeeping areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, laundry facilities, and service areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Supervise and manage housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance levels.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols aligned with safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment usage, ensuring proper maintenance and inventory control for efficient operations.
- Enforce safety procedures related to industrial cleaning, custodial tasks, and chemical handling to promote a safe working environment for all staff.
- Coordinate with management to address guest or client concerns promptly, ensuring exceptional customer service experiences.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within hospitality, hotel, or commercial settings.
- Supervising experience in a housekeeping or cleaning environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations applicable to industrial and commercial cleaning.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent managerial communication skills for training staff, coordinating tasks, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Prior experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; a background in management roles related to housekeeping is advantageous.
- Familiarity with laundry operations and hotel housekeeping management practices will be considered a plus.
