About the Role

We are hiring a General Manager to run our Candlewood Suites in Olive Branch. This is an owner-operator role, not a caretaker role. You will be accountable for everything that happens under this roof: the guest experience, the P&L, the team, and the condition of the building. Candlewood Suites is a select-service, extended-stay property, so you lead from the floor as often as from the office. If you have carried a hotel’s numbers and standards on your own before, this will feel familiar from day one.

What You Will Own

Full responsibility for daily operations across every department, including front desk, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance. You keep service consistent and the property clean and well maintained.

The hotel’s financial performance. You own the budget, the forecast, the P&L, and the monthly reporting behind it. You will be expected to know your numbers cold and to drive them.

Revenue and rate strategy. You manage rate, occupancy, and ADR to grow RevPAR within brand and ownership expectations.

Your team. You recruit, train, schedule, coach, and hold people accountable, including your department heads and your front-line staff.

Property-level human resources. You handle hiring, onboarding, performance management, documentation, and employee relations.

Guest satisfaction and online reputation. You own guest recovery, resolve issues directly, and protect the property’s reviews and brand scores.

Cost control. You manage labor and expenses to budget across every department, not around it.

Compliance. You keep the property aligned with brand standards, health and safety regulations, and company policy.

You are the senior decision-maker on site, which includes stepping into any department when coverage or a guest situation calls for it.

What We Are Looking For

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager is strongly preferred. We will consider comparable senior leadership experience, such as a strong Assistant General Manager ready to step up, but this role is built for someone who has already run a hotel.

You should be able to speak specifically to how you have managed a budget, controlled labor, and improved profitability at a property you were responsible for. General statements will not tell us much. Results will.

You should bring working command of revenue management, forecasting, and hotel financial reporting. You should have led and developed a full hotel team across multiple departments, and you should be comfortable owning guest relations and online reputation. Franchise or branded hotel experience is a plus, and familiarity with extended-stay operations is especially valuable for this property.

Above all, you should be able to run a property without day-to-day supervision. This is a role for someone who sets the standard and holds it.

Schedule and Availability

This is a salaried leadership position responsible for a hotel that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Weekend, holiday, and on-call availability is required as operational needs demand. A GM’s schedule follows the business, and the right person already understands that.
