Position Summary

Candlewood Suites is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Public Area Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of all public areas throughout the hotel to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel lobby, public restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, fitness center, laundry room, and other common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as needed.
• Remove trash and replace liners throughout public spaces.
• Restock restroom supplies and maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items to management.
• Assist housekeeping staff with special cleaning projects when needed.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds throughout the shift.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
