What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Snowboard Assistant Coach position at Canby High School?
Canby High School is hiring an Assistant Snowboard Coach to begin January 8th, 2026.
This is a non-district funded (contingent upon fundraised dollars) position.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of emergency first aid procedures — current First Aid/CPR card required.
- Ability to work successfully with high school students, families, school staff, and the public.
- Ability to perform extra duty responsibilities in accordance with school and district procedures and policies.
- Ability to meet criminal records requirements of the state of Oregon.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/knowledge of the sport of interscholastic snowboard, coaching techniques, and student supervision.
Required Trainings:
- OSAA and district trainings required prior to starting work: Beyond the Scoreboard, Steroid Awareness, Heat Acclimatization, Concussion Training, and assigned Vector Training courses
Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer of employment ($10-$20 at printing; $70 payroll deduction).
