Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently
- Upsell menu items by recommending popular dishes, beverages, or specials to maximize sales opportunities.
- Manage guest needs throughout their visit by checking in regularly, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest happiness.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments securely, and give correct change while maintaining excellent cash handling practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation protocols.
- provide confirmation of order with the kitchen staff to make sure order was received correctly
- Bilingual is a must: spanish & english
Experience
Previous restaurant experience is not required but appreciated
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong time management skills are necessary to juggle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
