  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance protocols
  • Coordinate educational activities, enrichment programs, and developmental assessments to promote early childhood learning
  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory management to maintain operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to child records, incident reports, attendance logs, and licensing compliance
  • Facilitate communication with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress and address concerns
  • Lead staff training initiatives focused on child development best practices, safety procedures, and regulatory updates
  • Manage medication administration processes in accordance with health guidelines when applicable
  • Implement policies related to emergency procedures, confidentiality, and child protection

Skills

  • Proven leadership experience in childcare settings such as group homes, retirement homes with senior care components, or early childhood education centers
  • Strong background in assisted living or nursing home environments with familiarity in long-term care practices
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or special needs; knowledge of dementia care or memory care is advantageous
  • Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster professional growth
  • Comprehensive understanding of care plans development and implementation for diverse age groups and needs
  • Financial acumen for budgeting, resource planning, and operational management within a childcare context
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols relevant to child health when necessary
  • Familiarity with home & community care models that support family-centered approaches
  • Ability to coordinate activities that promote social work principles such as family engagement and community involvement
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed records in compliance with licensing standards
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with families, staff members, regulatory agencies, and community partners
