We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team at Canadian Solar. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in efficiently and safely moving materials, products, and inventory throughout our warehouse facility, using Raymond brand forklifts. Job Details Operate Raymond sit-down forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products in a busy warehouse environment. Safely transport goods to designated storage areas, ensuring accurate placement and proper stacking to maximize space utilization. Assist in loading and unloading trucks, containers, and trailers, adhering to established loading procedures. Perform routine pre-operational checks and maintenance on Raymond forklifts to ensure proper functioning, reporting any defects or issues to the supervisor. Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment and inventory. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles, storage locations, and loading docks. Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill orders, complete inventory counts, and support overall warehouse operations. Assist in the labeling, tagging, and identification of materials and products as required. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize work, and ensure timely completion of assignments. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times. Experience & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating pallet jack forklifts. Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety practices and operational procedures. Ability to operate forklifts in tight spaces, aisles, and around obstacles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and inventory. Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception. Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and carrying items as needed. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
