What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Canad Inns Destination Centre Grand Forks?
Purpose: to create 100% guest satisfaction for cleaning linens and restocking closets and storage areas
_ **Must be available 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm with open days on availability. **_
Areas of Responsibility:
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing Canad Certified Four Star Service and by exceeding guest expectations
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee
- Performs other duties as required to provide genuine hospitality
Maintains the cleanliness of the hotel’s linen supply
- Sorts laundry prior to washing
- Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading the washing
- Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights
- Saves energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times
- Uses equipment and chemicals in accordance with hotel’s safety procedures
- Informs supervisor of any equipment failures or supply shortage
- Presses linens
- Folds linens and uniforms and stores properly
- All other duties as required
Adheres to hotel policies and procedures
- Attends work on time as scheduled
- Follows safety and security rules and procedures
