Canaan Fuels was founded in the summer of 2006 by two brothers, with the purchase of 2-pump full-service station in Taunton, Massachusetts. They quickly transformed the old station into a modern, busy convenience store and 4-pump self-service station that is the number one go-to stop for many of the locals in the area. Since 2006, they have grown their business into a small chain of gas stations and convenience stores with various locations around the south shore.

What will you do?
To be eligible for hire, one must be able to perform different tasks both in the store and around the station. This position includes (but is not limited to): cleaning the store and following all federal and state laws regarding the sale of tobacco, lottery and other stocking merchandise. The store manager will help perform daily deep cleaning programs and needs to be available on-call to assist during busy hours.
Self-Service Gas Station - Store Manager
Store managers are required to perform different tasks both in the store and around the station. This position includes (but not limited to): cleaning and following all federal and state laws regarding the sale of tobacco, lottery, and stocking merchandise. Store managers must perform daily deep cleaning programs outlined in checklist format. It is very important that you follow and demonstrate this protocol for regulatory maintenance and sanitization purposes.
The store manager will be responsible for:
-Hire, train and supervise all sale associates. The store manager is also expected to be on-call for emergency shifts that need to be covered if a sales associate must call out of work for any reason.
-Engage with all store vendor orders and supplies.
-Stock the walk-in cooler daily as needed.
-Perform weekly deep cleaning procedures outlined in checklist format. It is very important that you follow this protocol for regulatory maintenance. This is mandatory for the Store Manager.
Lastly, we expect all our employees to maintain and represent Canaan Fuels core values of courtesy, kindness and efficiency always while on the clock. This includes a clean, professional appearance (uniforms provided) and a professional attitude.
Store Manager is required to work 30 hours behind the cash register to develop relationships with customers as well as maintain and improve sales.
Store Manager Tasks and Duties
DAILY:
· Clean and stock the cooler.
· Clean and stock the counter.
· Clean the restrooms.
· Empty and clean trash cans inside and outside.
· Cleaning and maintaining the parking lot.
· Cleaning fuel pumps.
· Stocking washer fluid.
· Back stocking and inventory.
· Communicating with the correct person the daily store needs.
WEEKLY:
· Deep clean the entire store.
· Checking expiration dates on all products.
· Cleaning and maintaining the hot food case. (In stores that’s applicable)
· Putting away delivery orders.
MONTHLY:
· Cleaning and sanitizing the slushy machines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
