Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (6-hour shifts, 24/hrs total per week).
The Front Desk Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations while providing direct support to the Office and HR Managers. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and employees and assists with administrative, HR, and payroll-related tasks.
Compensation: $23/hr
Availability: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3:30pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk, managing incoming calls and greeting visitors, employees, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls appropriately while handling general inquiries
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
- Coordinate daily dispatch of support workers for night operations (afternoon responsibilities)
- Support HR functions, including new hire data entry, onboarding processes, orientations, and background checks
- Provide payroll assistance by helping employees navigate Paycom, resetting passwords, and supporting time-off requests
- Maintain and organize HR and payroll files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with internal HR reporting and payroll audits as needed
- Manage uniform inventory and ordering
- Create and maintain employee badges
- Maintain and update internal databases, ensuring data accuracy
- Prepare basic reports, emails, and documents using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Perform general administrative tasks and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or office support role preferred
- Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom) is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to assist employees and team members
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled part-time hours
