Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health
- Review patient medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation review and medical coding
- Conduct patient assessments to identify potential issues requiring further evaluation by the dentist
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to dental records management and documentation review
Experience

- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred
- Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance
