Cut-off Saw Operator
Job Summary:
The Cut-off Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining both manual and automatic cut-off saws. This position is tasked with cutting and measuring a variety of metals and plastics to supply our machine shop with parts. Also responsible for receiving/ unloading steel deliveries with both forklifts and overhead cranes.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Primarily run cut-off saw with the ability to learn and operate other machines in the shop as needed.
2. Ability to document, inspect, and verify quality control of parts.
3. Interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, and part specifications.
4. Maintain and organize stock inventory, and inform management when stock is low.
5. Perform routine maintenance of machines.
6. Maintain safety and cleanliness of the cut-off saw and other areas of the shop.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. 1-2 years of previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
2. Graduation from, or current enrollment in a related technical college program will be strongly considered but not required.
3. General knowledge of raw materials is helpful.
4. Ability to use forklifts and cranes. Training provided.
5. Must demonstrate consistent level of attention to detail.
6. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Must be team player, willing to grow and take direction in a high energy work environment.
