Position Summary
The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Campbell University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an adjunct faculty instructor for CLNR 520: Advanced Data Management in the Department of Pharmaceutical & Clinical Sciences. CLNR 520 is an online 8-week course and component of the Master of Science in Clinical Research. This is an advanced course that covers in detail topics such as the role of data management in clinical trials and the duties of the Clinical Data Coordinator. Topics include relevant regulations and guidance, organization, collection, review, and tracking of data. Coding of adverse drug experiences, drugs and disease states, and standardized terminology are also considered. Mastery of key principles of data management will be demonstrated through hands on assignments within the Medidata Rave Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system utilizing mock patient data. Students will complete essential data management role training within the EDC system which will be documented via certificates.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage course materials from learning objectives and selected textbooks provided by the Course Coordinator.
- Execute tests, assignments and/or online discussion exercises that permit measurement of performance relative to the course learning objectives.
- Teach the assigned class in accordance with the course learning objectives using the selected Learning Management System (Blackboard).
- Communicate and respond to students, faculty, and staff in a timely manner.
- Complete Powell for Teaching prior to teaching the course.
- Evaluate and assess student performance.
- Provide student grades promptly as instructed per Departmental standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with notice.
- A terminal degree in a related field is required.
- Subject matter experience required.
- Experience in teaching adult students, specifically in higher education, desired.
