Jacksboro Middle School is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Math and Data Coach to support teachers and administrators in improving student achievement through effective mathematics instruction and data-informed decision making.
The Math and Data Coach will work closely with school leadership teams and teachers to analyze student performance data, support instructional planning, model effective teaching strategies, and provide professional learning opportunities focused on mathematics achievement and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with appropriate endorsement.
- Strong background in mathematics instruction and curriculum.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting student achievement data.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Coaching or instructional leadership experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to improve mathematics instruction and student outcomes.
- Assist with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of student achievement data to guide instructional decisions.
- Support schools in developing and monitoring improvement plans related to mathematics achievement.
- Provide instructional coaching through classroom observations, modeling lessons, co-teaching, and feedback.
- Facilitate professional development related to mathematics standards, instructional strategies, assessments, and data analysis.
- Assist teachers in identifying interventions and enrichment opportunities based on student needs.
- Support the implementation of district and state initiatives related to mathematics instruction and assessment.
- Work collaboratively with administrators to monitor progress toward school and district goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in mathematics education and data analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Schools or designee.
