The Activity Aide assists in the implementation of services to enhance the psychosocial well-being of residents. The Activity Aide enhances the department by providing resources to stimulate residents physically, mentally, and socially. The Activity Aide’s work is reflective of CCH’s mission, vision, and values. The Activity Aide integrates departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum and practices within the framework of the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act, Wyoming Department of Health, and CMS guidelines.

The Activity Aide assists in the implementation of services to enhance the psychosocial well-being of residents. The Activity Aide enhances the department by providing resources to stimulate residents physically, mentally, and socially. The Activity Aide’s work is reflective of CCH’s mission, vision, and values. The Activity Aide integrates departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum and practices within the framework of the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act, Wyoming Department of Health, and CMS guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Plans activities according to posted schedules and introduces new activity ideas to staff and residents.
- Encourages residents to attend activities and fosters participation.
- Works closely with residents and families to determine social interests and incorporates them into the activity schedule.
- Documents activity participation daily, weekly, and monthly in the resident’s medical record.
- Performs activity preparation and cleanup duties.
- Assists in the development of individualized activity care plans.
- Promotes resident rights and supports the choice philosophy.
- Provides service excellence to all customers utilizing AIDET, Excellence Every Day, and Standards of Excellence.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Performs routine cleaning tasks and ensures the organization of activity supplies.
- Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills.
- Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Conduct, laws, regulations, and CCH policies and procedures.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education
- High school graduate or GED
- Certification
- Current unencumbered Wyoming CNA License
- Must register with Wyoming Department of Health CNA Abuse Registry
- CNAII License must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
- Certifications required

- Experience
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
