Wheeler Machinery is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Body Repair & Paint Technician to join our team full time in Salt Lake City, UT. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in restoring and maintaining the appearance and integrity of Cat and non-Cat equipment that our customers depend on every day.
Duties And Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities
- Identifying the different types of surfaces. utilizing proper tools
- Plastic and metal surfaces. Steam clean, sandblast and prep
- Willingness to Read and interpret blueprints located in SIS Web
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and services performed on equipment to correctly write service reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Perform necessary repairs on all types of components.
- Attend all hands-on training and attend all assigned technical classes to further develop your skills & knowledge.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Team Leader or Supervisor to support the team and gain experience to further develop your skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical education in heavy or light equipment repair is a plus.
- A strong interest in mechanical systems for Light and heavy machinery.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to build technical skills.
- Proficient in using hand tools.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
