Duties & Responsibilities
- Always work safely and follow all company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Perform mobile oil changes on light , medium , and heavy duty vehicles, including trucks, equipment, and specialty units.
- Conduct basic inspections during service, including checking fluid levels, filters, belts, hoses, and overall vehicle condition.
- Operate and maintain field service trucks, lube skids, pumps, and related service equipment.
- Properly collect, store, and label used oil and filters in compliance with environmental and company standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, drivers, and customers regarding service status, scheduling, issues, or delays.
- Schedule service appointments, coordinate with drivers, and ensure customers are notified of arrival times or changes.
- Maintain accurate service records, logs, and digital documentation.
- Troubleshoot minor issues in the field and escalate larger mechanical concerns when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area both in the field and on the service truck.
- Provide a professional, customer focused experience at every job site.
- Take ownership of customer concerns and provide effective solutions.
- Work as part of a team, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Accept constructive feedback and provide clear communication back to supervisors when needed.
- Apply 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to tools, equipment, and service truck organization to ensure efficiency and readiness.
- Must have personal hand tools immediately upon hire.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company safety protocols.
- Positive, professional attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
- Ability to schedule services, coordinate with drivers, and communicate with customers.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, climbing, and working outdoors in varying conditions.
- Must meet PPE requirements, including steel or composite toe footwear (additional PPE provided).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Understanding of 5S or willingness to adopt 5S practices.
- Experience performing oil changes or basic mechanical work on vehicles or equipment.
- Previous experience in fleet maintenance, mobile service, or the work truck industry.
- Experience using Fleetio, Zoho, and Excel for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to diagnose minor mechanical issues in the field.
