The Facilities Maintenance I Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to assist in the smooth operation of the company's facilities. This role involves inspecting and assisting in maintaining and repairing equipment and building systems, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors.

The Facilities Maintenance I Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to assist in the smooth operation of the company's facilities. This role involves inspecting and assisting in maintaining and repairing equipment and building systems, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of building systems and report any issues
- Perform simple maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Assist facilities team members with projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain and care for facility grounds, including landscaping and snow removal.
- Provide support for facility upgrades and renovations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or certification in facilities maintenance or in a related field, preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills required for measuring, calculating, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing licenses preferred.
