Revenue Accountant - Responsibilities
- Review client contracts and determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with IFRS 15
- Analyze revenue-related balance sheet accounts, including accrued revenue and deferred revenue
- Review aged revenue-related balance sheet accounts and follow up with Finance Business Partners to obtain commentary and resolve outstanding items
- Evaluate contracts for principal vs. agent accounting considerations
- Validate that revenue recognized is supported by underlying contractual documentation and project support
- Assist with month-end close activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues
- Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue
Revenue Accountant - Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to revenue accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (ASC 606) and experience applying revenue recognition guidance in a corporate environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
