Job Description:
We are looking for responsible, energetic camp counselors to lead and supervise 4th grade boy group and a 5th grade boys group of campers throughout the summer. This position is ideal for teachers or college students majoring in education who enjoy working with children in an active, outdoor environment.
Counselors play a key role in creating a fun, structured, and supportive camp experience while serving as positive role models for campers.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage a group of campers (ages [range]) throughout the day
- Lead and participate in sports, activities, and group events
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all campers
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior
- Work closely with other staff and camp leadership
- Assist with daily setup, transitions, and clean-up
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 22 years old
- Current teacher OR college student majoring in education (required)
- Experience working with children (school, coaching, camp, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm
Preferred (but not required):
- Background in athletics, group leadership, or youth programming
- Previous camp experience
Pay: $650.00 - $750.00 per week
