We are seeking a dynamic and organized Special Events Coordinator to plan and execute engaging events that enhance the campers' experience and create lasting memories.
Position Overview
As the Special Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, coordinating, and implementing all special events throughout the summer camp season. You will work closely with the camp leadership team to ensure that events align with our mission, values, and safety standards while delivering exceptional experiences for campers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a diverse range of special events.
- Create detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and contingency measures.
- Coordinate with vendors, performers, and guest speakers to secure necessary event services and entertainment.
- Oversee event setup, operation, and breakdown, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning, preferably in a camp or recreational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, campers, parents, and external vendors.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to conceptualize engaging event themes and activities.
