The Special Events Coordinator - Freelance represents News 12 at local key community events of all different sizes throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. This role serves as an organized, detail-oriented liaison for our news organization and the communities we serve. Represents News 12 with the utmost professionalism and provides a positive experience to our viewers.
* Sets up booths at various events.
* Willing to travel within the tri-state area.
* Responsible for the positive engagement with our viewers during community events.
* Sets up table and hands out giveaway items.
* Takes photos at events for use on social media.
* Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends.
* Strong verbal and communication skills
* Outgoing/friendly personality
* Clean/neat appearance
* Ability to lift 20 pounds
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing within the state of current residence
* Ability to take photos /videos with phone
* Social media skills a plus
* Availability on weekends and nights
* Knowledge of News 12 talent and programming a plus
* Willing to travel within the tri-state area
* Ability to communicate effectively with superior relationship building skills
* Ability to work independently
* Must be able to lift 20 pounds

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is$43,427.00-$71,344.00/ year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
