Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas
- Support cooking activities by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking supplies and assisting with stock rotation as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold food safety standards and prevent contamination
Experience
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic cooking skills is advantageous
- Experience with banquet service or large-scale catering is a plus
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests courteously
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest services to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
