TITLE/ROLE: Social Media Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

Inspired by the lyrics and island lifestyle of singer Jimmy Buffett, Camp Margaritaville Auburndale is a destination resort with RV Camping and Cabana Cabins. We transport guests to a vacation state of mind.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Plan, create, and publish engaging daily content across all Camp Margaritaville Auburndale social media channels (Meta, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.), aligning with brand standards and resort initiatives.

· Develop a quarterly content plan and calendar highlighting key promotions, events, holidays, and themes to be reviewed with the internal marketing team and Margaritaville brand team.

· Plan and execute paid social media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, including audience targeting, creative development, budget tracking, and performance analysis to drive brand awareness, engagement, and bookings.

· Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content that embodies the fun, family-friendly Margaritaville vibes, both pre-planned and in real time.

· Attend on-site events and resort activities to provide live coverage, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and authentic guest engagement moments (some evenings/weekends required).

· Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Director of Park Strategy to ensure all social content supports current marketing campaigns, partnerships, and resort goals.

· Coordinate cross-departmental content with food & beverage, entertainment, and activities teams to showcase what’s happening around the resort.

· Analyze audience demographics and engagement trends to refine content and ad strategies that best reach our core target markets (families, RV travelers, weekenders, sports teams, groups, Parrot heads, etc.).

· Engage daily with our online community by responding to messages, comments, and mentions in a timely, upbeat, and brand-consistent voice.

· Monitor and report performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, conversions, etc.) and recommend data-driven optimizations to improve results.

· Identify emerging trends, viral opportunities, and competitor activity to inform creative, on-brand growth initiatives.

· Support influencer partnerships, giveaways, and user-generated content initiatives to build brand awareness and strengthen online community engagement.

· Assist with light graphic design and video editing for social posts, stories, and digital collateral.

· Support additional digital marketing efforts such as email campaigns, website updates, app, and promotional materials as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

· 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or business (hospitality or travel preferred).

· Skilled in capturing and editing photography and video content that tells a visual story.

· Strong understanding of platform best practices and trends (especially TikTok, Reels, and Shorts)

· Proficiency to design simple, on-brand graphics using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Rush, or CapCut).

· Strong writing skills with the ability to adopt a fun, upbeat, guest-focused brand voice.

· Working knowledge of SEO, hashtags, tags, and YouTube optimization strategies.

· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Availability to work select evenings, weekends, and holidays for live event coverage.

· Genuine passion for hospitality, travel, and storytelling through engaging content that celebrates every guest experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
