What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Activity Counselor (Overnight Camp, Huguenot NY) – Arts, Sports, Nature position at Camp Jamison?
This is a residential (overnight) summer camp position located in Huguenot, New York. Staff must be 18 and live on-site for the duration of camp. Transportation is provided from Philadelphia.
Camp Jamison is hiring Activity Counselors for Summer 2026—a tech-light, overnight camp experience serving primarily Black (and all) campers ages 8–15.
This is a fully immersive role. Staff live on-site, build real relationships with campers, and are part of every aspect of camp life—from leading activities during the day to showing up for meals, evening programs, and community moments.
We are a tech-light environment, meaning campers are not on phones and staff limit personal device use during the day. This role requires presence, consistency, and the ability to stay engaged with campers throughout the full day.
This is not a typical summer job. It is a leadership experience grounded in youth development, community, and real impact.
