Head of Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a head of maintenance to work through October at a campground setting. There is the possibility of some light work in the winter as well but this is a seasonal position. Camp Hudson Pines is a campground located directly on the Upper Hudson River in Corinth, NY, about 30 minutes from Lake George and Saratoga Springs. We have RV spots, tent spots, cabins and canvas glamping tents for rent and have guests come from all over to enjoy the Adirondacks.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to put your maintenance skills to work in an outdoor environment focused on guest experience, safety and keeping the land beautiful. We have a great team who work closely together, and we value team players with attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help with small plumbing and basic electrical issues.
• Help close down the campground and winterize the lines
• Help with projects around the campground from fencing repairs and trail maintenance to painting projects.
• Work on preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to prevent failures and extend lifespan
• Use machinery to chop and chip wood and move, stack, and bundle logs for firewood
• Landscaping: Perform weekly lawn maintenance as well as landscape improvements
• Site Cleaning: Keep campsites and cabin yards clean by regularly clear fire pits, emptying trash, blowing leaves, etc.
• Pool/River: Help with regular maintenance and cleaning of the pool and keeping the swim area and kayaks on the river front ready for guests use.

Skills

• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing is a must
• Knowledge of how to operate and fix machinery - zero turn lawn mower, wood chipper and wood splitter
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
