Camp Doodles (Doodle) offers STEAM summer camps throughout the Bay area and we are seeking an Assistant Site Director for our San Francisco location.
Preference for candidates that are available the entire 9 weeks of camp, 6/15- 8/14. There are trainings on 5/23-5/24 and set-up on 6/12. These are the only weekend commitments and it's generally Monday-Friday 9:00-5:30pm once camp begins.

What This Role Entails:
- Direct responsibility for the behind-the-scenes operations of camp as well as working with campers. You will be working with kids the majority of the time.
- You have every single detail running like a well-oiled machine so camp runs seamlessly.
- Providing administrative support to the Site Director.
- Be comfortable stepping into the role of an Instructor or Coach when needed.
- Being a role model for other staff in attitude, maturity and work ethic.
- Singing, dancing, being silly, wearing costumes, playing and having fun.
- Being an ambassador to each and every family while providing the best possible customer service.
- Jumping in to doing anything and everything – ideally without being asked.
- Helping your team succeed – every day.
- Working hard – camp days are long and tiring but also amazing.
- Making life-long friends with your fellow teammates.
What You’ve Done Before:
- College graduates highly preferred
- Worked with kids in a formal setting for at least 2 years (volunteer or paid)
- Worked with kids in a summer day camp for at least 1 season
- Held direct leadership roles previously (school, sports, prior jobs, etc.)
- Had sole responsibility for the success of a project or program
- Demonstrated maturity in past roles
The Commitments and Requirements of this Job:
- Camp days are long and hours can vary.
- Days start at 9:00am and end around 5:30pm. You manage the closing of the camp so it is ready to go the next day.
- Mandatory weekly staff meetings may occur outside regular camp hours
- We need you to work the entire camp season, 9 consecutive weeks.
- You must attend all-staff training and set-up / clean-up of camp:
- Pass a background check: 1) A finger-printed background check through Live Scan (DOJ/FBI) and 2) a check on the National Sex Offender Registry Website.
- Complete voluntary disclosure and health statements
- Provide minimum of 2 references and verified work experience
- First Aid and CPR/AED Certified, or ability to obtain certification prior to June 1 of this year
