Camp Courageous is hiring a cook to join our weekend kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to earn additional income, pick up consistent weekend hours, and work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Schedule:
- Weekends based on Respite and Partnership Events
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Additional PRN (as-needed) shifts available for extra hours

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and serve meals for campers, staff, and guests
- Cook for approximately 60 individuals (about 90 portions per meal)
- Follow standardized recipes and meal plans
- Support special dietary needs, including allergies and modified diets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
- Follow USDA and ACA food safety guidelines
- Assist with food storage, organization, and inventory
- Work closely with the kitchen team and camp leadership
What We’re Looking For:
- Food service or cooking experience required
- Comfortable preparing food in larger quantities
- Strong knife skills and food prep experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with special diets and common allergens (Big 9 preferred)
- Reliable and able to work independently when needed
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout shifts
