The camp creates a welcoming and supportive environment where campers participate in traditional camp activities. Located in Winder, GA, Camp Brightside fosters connections and helps campers build confidence. Activities are tailored to ensure all campers have a safe and memorable experience.
Role Description
This is an on-site role based in Winder, GA, for a Summer Camp Counselor. As a counselor, you will supervise and support campers, lead engaging camp activities, and ensure their safety and well-being throughout the week. This includes fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere, assisting campers with daily tasks, and working collaboratively with other staff members to create a fun and enriching camp environment.
Qualifications
- Cabin counselors must be 18 years old (if you are under 18 years old, you can apply to be a Counselor In Training)
- Experience with camps and a passion for working in outdoor or recreational settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with campers and other staff
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with campers, families, and staff
- Background in education or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial (but not necessary)
- Patience, enthusiasm, and an ability to adapt to various situations
Pay
We offer a $300 stipend to cabin counselors
