"Camp Counselor" Doggy Day Camp Attendant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Day Camp Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in a day camp/sleepover camp setting. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for our furry clients. If you have experience in animal care or customer service, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness of the day camp facility, including cabins, play areas, and feeding stations.
• Feed and provide fresh water to the dogs according to their individual needs.
• Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries.
• Administer basic first aid when required and report any health concerns to management.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and daily activities.
• Assist with training exercises as needed, promoting positive behavior among the dogs.
• MAINTAINING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT!
• MUST LOVE DOGS - the noise, the hair, the messes, the love, and the smiles!!!!!!!!

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is a bonus.
• Knowledge of canine behavior and basic training techniques is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to handle active dogs and perform cleaning duties throughout the day.
• Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or animal restraint techniques is advantageous.
