We are partnering with a high-growth investor-backed software company, scaling operations rapidly while maintaining financial rigor. They leverage advanced finance systems and are looking for a Controller with prior implementation experience with either Campfire or Rilet to optimize accounting, reporting, and compliance processes.
Role Overview
The Controller will oversee accounting and financial operations while leading the implementation of Campfire or Rilet. This is a hands-on, strategic role partnering with the CFO and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and scalability for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, payroll)
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Implement and optimize financial systems, specifically Campfire or Rilet, for the organization’s needs
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations and reporting accuracy
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and PE sponsor reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Drive process improvements leveraging both internal and external systems
- Partner with leadership to provide strategic financial insights
Qualifications
- Experience in high-growth, software, or PE-backed environments
- Proven experience implementing Campfire or Rilet (or equivalent financial system) in a prior role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- CPA or equivalent preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
