Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle vans, buses, limousines, and paratransit vehicles to transport patients securely and comfortably.
• Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
• Maintain clear communication with healthcare staff, dispatchers, and patients to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met at all times.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist with patient equipment or luggage, always prioritizing safety protocols.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times.
• Keep accurate records of trips, patient information, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism during every interaction.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and team members.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety compliance.
