Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle vans, buses, limousines, and paratransit vehicles to transport patients securely and comfortably.
- Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
- Maintain clear communication with healthcare staff, dispatchers, and patients to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met at all times.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist with patient equipment or luggage, always prioritizing safety protocols.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times.
- Keep accurate records of trips, patient information, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism during every interaction.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
