Position: Building Facilities Technician
Full Time – Mid-Level
Wilmington, NC - On site
Class A Office Space - 225,000 SF - Single Tenant User
The Building Facilities Technician will utilize experience and skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of building’s systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under limited supervision, position should monitor building system operations and performance. Position must have proficiency in utilizing several skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC.
Responsibilities
• Effectively respond to and resolve tenant service calls
• Professionally and effectively interact with tenant personnel
• Effectively interact with and supervise service providers
• Effectively perform and/or supervise routine building maintenance and repair tasks
• Have strong, demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting HVAC systems and controls.
• Preferred experience with JACE BAS and FX-PCT Controls
• Operate building systems, including but not limited to; lighting controls, fire and life safety systems
• After-hours on-call emergency response
• Complete maintenance and repair records as required
• Develop and maintain a courteous and service-oriented rapport with all customers (tenants, building occupants, vendors, client, co-workers)
• Possess clear and effective written and verbal communications skills
• Have demonstrated proficiency and experience in utilizing current technology tools (hardware and software)
Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or trade school training
Qualifications
• Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in commercial building maintenance or related industry
• Apprentice or Maintenance electrical license preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
Skills

• Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word. Etc.)

• Ability to exude calm and confidence in occasionally stressful situations
