JOB TITLE: CMA/LPN/RN
SHIFT: .9 FTE, 72 Hours, Bi-Weekly, Days
BENEFITS: This is a full time, Benefit eligible position
COMPETITIVE PAY:
- Bonus of up to $5,000 available
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or medical assistant program.
- Current license in the State of Indiana. Certified Medical Assistant Registered Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, registered nurse.
- Has general knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
- Has been educated in basic pharmacology and the administration of medications.
- CPR provider certification within 6 months.
- OB/GYN experience a plus, but not required.
JOB SUMMARY
Provides nursing care to patients as directed by the provider utilizing the nursing process. Performs patient access functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Exemplifies good customer service.
- Regular reliable attendance.
- Effectively communicates and gets along well with others.
- Demonstrates proficient use of email.
- Accomplishes goals set for self and by Office Manager.
- Completes patient care assignments as directed by provider and clinical protocol. Reports significant findings to the provider.
- Prepares clinic areas for patient care at the beginning of the shift. Secures clinic areas nightly.
- Proficient in EPIC including retrieving patient records, entering patient data (e-form) and locking record.
- Greets patients on arrival.
- Registers and enters patient data into the Health Information system. Scans insurance card information.
- Admits patients, taking brief history and vitals.
- Performs procedure set-up and assists provider as indicated.
- Discharges patient with prescriptions/instructions and documents in patient’s chart.
- Maintains adequate medical supply and medication inventory.
- Schedules surgeries or referrals as ordered, attain prior authorizations for surgeries when needed, provides patient education and instruction information.
- Familiar with policies in Policystat, including nursing, registration and disaster policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
