DEPARTMENT: Sleep Center
JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant
SHIFT: 1.0 FTE, Full-time, Bi-Weekly, Day Shift
Summary/Objective:
Coordinates and organizes the planning, scheduling, logistic and clerical functions within Respiratory and Sleep Department.
Education Required
- High school diploma
- Associate degree in office administration preferred.
- Minimum of one-year Administrative Assistant or secretarial experience; healthcare setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work and interact effectively with and between employees and other ancillary departments.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work from several sources with simultaneous deadlines.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent spelling and grammar; ability to comprehend, create and edit material.
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Essential Functions:
- Exemplifies good customer service.
- Regular reliable attendance.
- Hospital Quality Review, Utilization Review/Quality Review/Medical Records, and Quality Team.
- Send out notices and follow up with phone calls to employees and physicians regarding scheduled meetings. Reserve room and arrange lunches where appropriate.
- Type letters and memos as requested.
- Type policies, procedures and checklists utilized in the implementation of federal quality initiatives as needed.
- Provide other clerical duties as requested.
- Ensure all meeting minute summaries are forwarded to appropriate entities.
- Assist with data entry of quality initiative projects as requested.
This job does not have any supervisory duties, and it is considered Light Duty.
